Welcome to Ōtautahi Studios!

With the new year begun, we are already into the swing of classes, and are currently starting to hand out certificates for our students who have graduated level 1 in 2025! Congratulations to all those who have put such a great effort into tying and improving in Kazami Ryu!

2025 was a strong year as we started teaching Kazami Ryu in Christchurch, with both MissEvilGen, and Kazami Ranki himself coming through and teaching some great workshops in the local community. It was a privilege to have them come here, and both taught things that challenged and inspired us all to improve and evolve our rope. Having Kazami Ranki visit is the first time the Grand Master of a style from Japan has taught rope in Christchurch, and we are certainly looking forward to his return in 2027 (all things remaining equal).

We are looking forward to a great new year with you all in 2026, as our level 2 classes help people evolve their rope further, and those new to our style begin their Journey in Kazami Ryu!
